Photo report from the Dominican Republic

On Monday we rode horses through the countryside (and a river).

A local invited us in for coffee.  This was his kitchen.

His kids, my kids.

Some street scenes.

Then back to the beach…Yeah, we built sandmen.

Liz would like to spend about 1 year in a Spanish-speaking country. I recommended Costa Rica. She is considering Guatamala. Would she like the Dominican Republic?

funny you should ask.  i’m not speaking in hyperbole when i say that it was close to the best i’ve ever tasted.  it was some kind of muddy espresso goo.  i wasn’t offered seconds, but i would have drunk myself sick given the opportunity.

Was it made like this [http://tinyurl.com/68agp2] or with something like a Bialetti “Little Man?”
