My three week road-trip ends tonight.  The first couple of weeks were incredible.  Several days into Austin, TX, however, my euphoria subsided.  It was there that my father-in-law cornered me, pressing me for details as to my "career" path.  Hahahahahahaha...just picture that one.  I listened to myself mumble a bunch of nonsense, and got thoroughly depressed in the process.  FIL and MIL spent the remainder of the week stuffing me full of amazing Chinese food.  *****BURP***** Good dim-sum cheers me up every time.

I dunno about Austin.  It feels like a giant sprawling suburb.  Oh yeah, and it's oven hot.  For real man, my brains got roasted.  (Probably why I was mumbling nonsense to my in-laws.)  On the plus side, Austin has more concerts on any given week than Pittsburgh will host in a year.  How all those artists can feel so damn creative while roasting in a land of endless strip malls, well, it's beyond me really.

I miss my bed and my dog.  Stupid animal.  Just a few more hours...
