6 months of reindeer fun...

I live near a local landmark – two doors down from “the guy with the reindeers”.  Every December, his two white wire reindeers flank an enormous Christmas snow globe.  No big deal, right?  Ah, but then the real fun starts.  Come February, his reindeers become Valentine reindeers.  A month later they (d)evolve into St. Patrick’s day reindeers.  Right now, they’re Easter bunny reindeers.  For real.  If last year is any guideline, next month we shall be enjoying Memorial Day reindeers.  Flag waving, red, white and blue patriotic reindeers.  Good times man, good times.

Those ears are great. Sometimes, the world will surprise you with something so simple. This made me feel good about life in general for some reason.

P.S. on an unrelated note, I just started reading Me Talk Pretty One Day, I think you'd enjoy the humour in it. Not about what I thought it was about, but damn good nonetheless. maybe even better. Let me just say this: someone builds themselves a nest... out of hair and its all the furniture their apartment has. And yes, speed is involved.

Hahaha. That guy is awesome! I think that's hilarious. I think you should become his friend. If I shelled out the, what? 30 bucks? to by glowing reindeer, you better believe they'll stay up all year round! Come to think of it, the Christmas lights that the last intern bought to celebrate Christmas (in our house of all Muslims) are still up on the porch. And if I have anything to say about it, they ain't coming down any time soon! And my bedroom is decorated with the paper-chains that we made for our Gambian Dance party!!! Yeah, your neighbor is awesome, I totally feel where he's coming from.
