3 for 5

People always ask how I like Pittsburgh. I smile and say, "It's different". Last night I finally got a reason the love Pittsburgh. Something caught my eye in the paper. A bar had three bands for $5. Virtually extinct in Chicago, the 3 bands/$5 animal thrives in Pittsburgh. I'm not talking about saving money. It's the experience of going to a dive bar crammed with unpretentious people listening to goofy music. The possibility of experiencing this is inversely proportional to the cover charge. Or is it directly proportional? Shit. I can't believe I taught math for 10 years. Anyways, what I'm trying to say, is that the experience gets more rare, as the cover charge goes up. Apparently, Pittsburgh has no shortage of 3/$5 action. Good times ahead.
The highlight? The Bust. They rocked. One song had just one line: "he was the fittest of them all". Each time they sang the line (in Weezer-like harmony), it got more over-the-top euphoric. Speaking of Weezer, the Bust nerds made Weezer look like GQ models.
Family talk: I played another one of Asia's dumb games. In her game I was a BROWN hog. What the bogus?
