The Mrs. trims our misshapen tree.

I bought a Christmas tree today.  Big deal, right?  Well, it kind of is.  It's only the 2nd time in my life I've celebrated Christmas.  Last year was the 1st.

I didn't just grow up not celebrating Christmas.  I was taught to hate Christmas.  As a kid, two things made me nauseous:  Late July ads hawking "back to school" gear, and the 1st Christmas lights of the holiday season.  Singing carols at school, liver for dinner, and visiting the dentist:  Non-joyous.  Receiving zero presents, while my friends hit the annual yuletide jackpot:  Hellacious.  Oh well.  I lived.

Celebrating Christmas with my wife and kids was sweet.  This year will be even better.  But I still think that Santa Claus guy is a friggin perv.  Seriously, who put that freak in the mix?

Here's my favorite Christmas carols.  Ok, it's not really a Christmas song, but I swear it sounds like one:
