Mr. Ho

I have an acquaintance named Mr. Ho.  He's in his second year of teaching in Brooklyn.  Some highlights from his blog:

In a futile effort to "hook" my students on the topic of parallel and perpendicular lines today, I posed this question at the beginning of class: why aren't there any stores on the corner of Albany Ave and Brooklyn Ave?....I'd hoped that my astute students would recognize that two parallel streets would never meet at any corner. Instead, I received the following response:
"There aren't any stores because that's a Jewish neighborhood."

Student: Mr. Ho, do long distance relationships last?
Me: Well, that depends. How far away does she live?
Student: In Queens.

Things I never thought I'd say:
"Sir, your son was throwing rocks in my classroom, and that's really unacceptable, as it really negatively impacts my ability to teach my class."
