I stumbled upon a group of people who have the same problem as me - too much time on their hands.  They're called the Pittsburgh Cacophony Society.  An announcement of their next event:

Department Store Dance Party - 11/25 Join the Pittsburgh Cacophony at 4pm on Saturday, November 25, 2006 for Pittsburgh's first DEPARTMENT STORE DANCE PARTY. We'll stake out a local department store on one of the busiest shopping days of the year and then, when the music starts blasting, we'll turn the place into a dance party! How long can we keep it up before the management pulls the plug? Be a part of the excitement and find out! To minimize the chances of our plan being foiled, the exact location will be disclosed here after 1:00pm on the day of the event. The store will be easily accessible by both public and private transportation. After our first location is shut down, we might decide to try again at another nearby venue... and another... and another!
